Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Land O' Lakes, FL, is seeking a Medical Assistant, Certified for a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule in the Cardiology department. This ambulatory care role supports physicians and APPs in patient examinations and procedures while maintaining compliance with Orlando Health policies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and completed Medical Assistant training, with certification from an accredited MA program, and be prepared to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting) required

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders into the electronic medical system under the direction of a provider.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Education
