Orlando Health is seeking an ambulatory Medical Assistant to perform patient care under the direction of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, MA training (or equivalent experience), and current BLS certification, with knowledge of EMR documentation and infection control standards. This role requires teamwork with nursing and administrative staff and a commitment to patient safety.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable work as a Medical Assistant in a patient-care setting) required.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains applicable Medical Assistant certification/registration as required.

Responsabilidades

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to Orlando Health policies.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and infection control standards.

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant training or 1 year MA experience
