Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiology Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. You will perform both clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider.

Responsibilities include entering and maintaining medical history in an EMR, assisting with exams, taking vital signs, sterilizing instruments, managing supplies, and handling referrals and insurance authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge
• BLS Certification required within 14 days of start

Responsibilities

• Provide superior patient care and perform administrative and delegated clinical tasks in a clinic setting as part of a care team led by physicians or APPs.
• Enter, maintain, and report medical history, medical coding, and file claims using an EMR system.
• Support patient visits by greeting, escorting to exam rooms, and recording vital signs and relevant information.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments; ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked for patients.
• Assist with inventory, supplies, and equipment; manage paperwork for inventory control and order review.
• Coordinate referrals, insurance authorizations, and referrals for prescriptions, x-rays, or lab work with external entities.
