Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Cardiology Medical Assistant (CMA) for a day shift in Athens, TX. This full-time position supports physicians with administrative and some clinical duties in a busy cardiology setting.

You will schedule appointments, manage records, assist with billing and coding, and help room patients. Duties include vital signs, phlebotomy, and preparing patients for examinations under supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
• Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
