Star Valley Health is seeking a Part Time Cardiology Clinic Medical Assistant in Afton, WY. The role blends clinical and administrative tasks to support cardiac physicians and care teams, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vitals, assisting with procedures, and maintaining EMR records, while upholding HIPAA and patient privacy in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Experience with EMR and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical office practices and clinical equipment.
• Medical training or clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support providers with clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Room patients and collect clinical information including chief complaints and vital signs.
• Assist with procedures and treatments under provider supervision, including injections.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document test results in the EMR.
• Assist with patient scheduling, referrals, and arranging ancillary services.
• Answer phones, greet patients, and provide excellent customer service.
• Transmit electronic prescriptions to providers for approval and relay test results to patients as directed.
• Help manage patient flow to keep providers on schedule.
• Maintain exam rooms and order supplies to ensure a clean, organized environment.
• Attend required meetings, training sessions, and continuing education.
