Job summary

SGMC Health Careers in Valdosta, GA seeks a Practice APRN to work under a supervising physician. The APRN may perform advanced nursing functions, order drugs and diagnostic studies, and participate in QA/PI processes.

Credentialing and protocol-based privileges guide duties; ties to the Cardiology department and 8-hour day shift. Requirements include an accredited NP program, GA NP license, ANCC/AANP certification, CPR/ACLS, and 4+ years healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited, post-basic educational program for nurse practitioners.
• Georgia Nurse Practitioner License
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
• Maintains biennial renewal of Board Authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• CPR Certification
• ACLS Certification within 180 days of employment.
• Preferably at least four years of health care employment.
• Flexible in work schedule, assignments, workloads, setting priorities and utilizing problem solving techniques.
• Ability to analyze regulations, standards, clinical issues, and patient outcomes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and behavioral communication skills.
