UNC Health Care is seeking multiple Advanced Practice Providers to join our Cardiology per diem pool in the Chapel Hill area. Roles support both inpatient and outpatient environments, with weekday daytime hours and flexibility across shifts. Candidates may be NP or PA, with strong clinical motivation to provide high-quality patient care.

The position emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ongoing education, and a commitment to professional excellence within UNC Health.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina (NP/PA/CRNA/CNM/PA-C).
• Board certification if required by the department; DEA.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history and perform physical assessments; develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Provide instruction to physicians, housestaff, nursing, and students; participate in rounds and training.
• Interact with patients and staff respectfully; ensure timely, quality care and documentation.
• Engage in quality improvement and participate in program development and policy updates.
