Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of related patient care experience preferred, or associate's degree or higher in lieu of MA experience.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire or per department requirement.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EMT, CNA, or LNA certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for visits; take and document vital signs and intake information.
• Support clinical procedures (e.g., EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
• Maintain clean, stocked, and ready exam rooms throughout the day.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation per clinical guidelines.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in, referrals, and patient instructions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients and team members about delays or follow-ups.
• Follow workflows, safety protocols, infection control standards, and department guidelines.
• Support operational flow and provider efficiency by anticipating needs.
• Escort patients to labs or ancillary services as needed.
• Participate in specialized clinical workflows as applicable.
