Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients; take and document vital signs.
• Support clinical procedures (EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and prepare them for visits.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation per clinical guidelines.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in, referrals, and patient instructions as needed.
• Communicate delays, appointment needs, or follow-ups with providers and patients.
• Follow safety protocols, infection control standards and department guidelines.
• Support workflow by anticipating needs and adapting to same-day changes.
• Escort patients to labs or ancillary services as needed.
• Participate in specialized workflows (prescriptions, prior authorizations, high-level disinfection).
