Job summary

The West Haven VA Medical Center is seeking a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to support VA Connecticut's Structural Heart and LAAO/Watchman programs. This role delivers high-quality care across pre-, peri-, post-procedural, and longitudinal follow-up phases for complex Veterans.

The position involves coordinating care with Yale partners, imaging reviews, and education, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm and telework as permitted by management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a training program accredited by ARC-PA.
• Master's degree OR Bachelor's with one year of PA experience.
• Education recognized by US Department of Education; foreign credentials require equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Valve and LAAO clinics for high-risk cardiac patients.
• Coordinate pre-, peri-, and post-procedural care and follow-up.
• Support day-of-procedure activities: readiness checks and follow-up imaging.
• Manage post-procedural care and anticoagulation as needed.
• Document encounters in CPRS and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.

ARC-PA accredited PA program

Master's degree OR Bachelor's with 1 year PA experience
