Job summary

Park Nicollet Clinic & RHSC seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology department in Minnesota. The APP will provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care, assist in cardiac and thoracic surgeries, and coordinate perioperative plans with the cardiology team.

Responsibilities include inpatient rounds, clinic coverage, and perioperative support with emphasis on first assisting and vein harvesting. Requires current PA or NP licensure in Minnesota, BLS, ACLS, and DEA credentials.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current DEA certification.
• Licensure as PA with Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or APRN RN/MP licensure as applicable.
• AANP/NCCPA certification as appropriate.
• Prescriptive authority privileges per state credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology services as part of a collaborative team.
• First assist in adult cardiac and thoracic surgeries and in robotic procedures.
• Coordinate perioperative and postoperative patient care with the cardiology team.
• Document care in electronic medical records and communicate with referring physicians.
