Job summary

Cardiovascular Associates of America in Florida is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its cardiology team, with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

The APP will evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, perform new consultations and follow-ups, participate in rounds, order tests, review ECGs, manage medications, and educate patients while collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for NP/PA licensure.
• Current national board certification.
• Eligible for state licensure and prescriptive authority.
• Cardiology or acute care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team.
• Commitment to patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct new patient consultations and established follow-up visits.
• Participate in inpatient rounding and hospital-based cardiovascular care.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Order and review laboratory studies, cardiac imaging, and diagnostic testing.
• Review and interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and other cardiovascular studies.
• Manage cardiovascular medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the clinical team.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
