Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiology team in Maryland. The NP will revise and implement therapeutic regimens, prepare patients for procedures, monitor progress, coordinate care with the CVIR team, and support timely discharges.

Required: MSN (Acute Care or Adult NP), MD ARNP license, 1–2 years in acute procedural care. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA; Maryland CD Substance license.

Qualifications

• Masters of Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner
• 1-2 years of experience as nurse practitioner in an acute setting in a procedural area
• Maryland Advanced Practice Medicare license (ARNP)
• MD ARNP license required
• ACLS Certification
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license
• DEA license

Responsibilities

• Revises, prescribes and implements therapeutic regimens with an interdisciplinary team
• Prepares patients for surgical and/or interventional procedures with H&P
• Monitors patient progress and coordinates care with CVIR and hospital teams
• Facilitates patient discharge
• Leads practice changes and performance improvement via evidence-based practice
