Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive inpatient clinical services. The NP will assess patients, develop treatment plans, order tests, and prescribe therapies under a practice agreement with supervising physicians.

The role requires a Virginia RN license with NP certification, MSN, and ACLS/BLS credentials, plus at least three years of related practice in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• MSN required.
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia or eligible.
• Current Virginia state certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.
• ACLS required at hire.
• BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Minimum of three years recent relevant advanced practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose conditions.
• Develop treatment plans including diagnostics and education.
• Prescribe non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapies as allowed.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Provide emergency care per ACLS guidelines.
