Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join a well-established physician-led group in Suffolk County, Long Island. The role offers flexible hours, Monday–Friday, with no on-call requirements and a strong focus on clinical excellence and team collaboration.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality cardiac care, manage both acute and chronic conditions, and mentor trainees while advancing population health initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active or eligible Cardiology board certification.
• Licensed or eligible for New York State licensure.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider in high-quality cardiac care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history, exam, and test interpretation.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans promoting long-term heart health.
• Provide clear patient communication regarding diagnoses, options, and prevention.
• Maintain thorough EMR documentation and collaborate with care teams.
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff.
• Mentor clinical trainees including students and interns.
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS and payer guidelines.
• Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement.
• Contribute to sustainable patient panel development.
