Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join a well-established physician-led group in Suffolk County, Long Island. The position offers flexible hours, typically Monday through Friday, with no on-call requirements.

You will provide comprehensive cardiac care, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans while mentoring trainees and maintaining EMR documentation. Licensure in NY is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active board certification in Cardiology or eligibility.
• Licensed (or eligible) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider delivering high-quality cardiac care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history, exams, and test interpretation.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions with evidence-based practices.
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans for long-term heart health.
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, options, and prevention.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and care teams for seamless patient care.
• Mentor clinical trainees and staff within the practice.
• Ensure HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS compliance and payer guidelines.
• Support population health initiatives and quality improvement projects.
