Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA in New Jersey seeks a dedicated Cardio Fusion (Step) group fitness instructor for a part-time, hourly position. You will lead engaging classes, motivate members, and foster a culture of healthy living within a welcoming YMCA environment.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a High school diploma or equivalent and hold YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or a National Cardio Fusion (Step) certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification in Cardio Fusion (Step)

Responsibilities

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness
• Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards
• Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles
• Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility
• Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction
• Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience

National certification in Cardio Fusion (Step)

What is needed for this job:

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification in Cardio Fusion (Step)
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
