Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring a part-time Group Fitness Instructor. Certification is required, with experience or national certification, and a passion for member service. You will lead engaging classes, promote healthy living, and connect with members to support wellness goals.

We offer a flexible schedule, access to YMCA membership, in-branch babysitting where available, and opportunities to teach hundreds of class options while contributing to a positive, inclusive community atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent.
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence

Responsabilités

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness
• Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards
• Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles
• Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility
• Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction
• Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents
