Job summary

HonorHealth seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound exams under radiologist supervision, including abdominal, OB/GYN and small parts. The role requires independent judgment, data entry, and coverage at multiple Heart Care sites.

Preferred two years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience with proficiency in multiple vascular scan types. ARDMS eligibility and BLS are required; high quality patient care is a focus across the Heart Care-Palm Lane team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited program for diagnostic medical sonography is preferred.
• Associates degree is preferred.
• Two years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience is preferred with proficiency in multiple vascular scans.
• ARDMS eligibility is required or preferred, including passing SPI.
• BLS certification current at hire.

Responsibilities

• Under radiologist direction, performs ultrasound diagnostic/therapeutic procedures with independent judgment.
• Uses hospital software for data entry and may cover multiple locations.
• Performs abdominal, OB/GYN and small parts ultrasounds and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Maintains equipment and documents quality control testing.
• Rotates throughout department as staffing and volume dictate.
• Participates in orientation and staff training.
• Maintains a clean, safe patient environment and inventories supplies.
