Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and radiology standards. You will support radiologist diagnoses by providing high-quality images and operate within a collaborative team.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in Radiology, ARDMS/CCI certification, and two years of experience with BLS. The role emphasizes safety, continuous education, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI).
• Two years of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist.
• Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients.
• Verify patient and procedure to be performed.
• Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients.
• Verify imaging protocol, steps, and scanner parameters.
• Ensure patient and staff safety for equipment used.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Perform quality control on equipment.
• Communicate with staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain supply stock and request replenishment.
• Keep work areas clean per DPH and Joint Commission.
• May teach students and support new technologists.
