NYU Langone Health’s Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer (FGP) for the Brooklyn Multispecialty team. The role performs comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies, adhering to NYU protocols and industry standards.

The candidate will document findings, generate preliminary reports, and communicate with patients while maintaining high standards of care and privacy. A strong credential set and BLS are required.

Competenze

• Associate's degree in a related field or completion of an accredited program in cardiac and vascular ultrasound.
• Registration as RDCS and RVT (or CCI equivalents: RCS and RVS); one cardiac + one vascular credential within one year if only one currently.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Must maintain active registry status.

Mansioni

• Performs all cardiac ultrasound studies including echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms per NYU protocols and standards.
• Performs all vascular ultrasound studies including carotid duplex, venous and arterial duplex, and other listed vascular studies.
• Documents scans, enters patient data, and creates preliminary reports following departmental procedures.
• Alerts medical staff to abnormalities requiring immediate attention and supports accreditation efforts (IAC/ACR).
• Assists with maintaining accreditation documentation and submits studies to management for accreditation applications.
• Demonstrates respect for patient privacy and ensures patient comfort and identification before procedures.
• May require lifting/moving patients and equipment up to 150 pounds as needed.
