Qualifications

• Five years of sonographer experience.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required.
• Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Operates ultrasound equipment to complete imaging procedures per protocol.
• Leads departmental programs and protocol development; mentors junior staff.
• Assists in orientation and training of junior staff and participates in staff evaluations.
