Ochsner Health System in Lafayette, LA is seeking a General/Vascular Sonographer for a full-time day shift. You will perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound in collaboration with radiologists and mentor junior staff.

Requirements: CAHEA-approved diagnostic sonography program; RDMS or registry-eligible within 1 year; BLS from the American Heart Association. Preferred: 2 years’ experience; flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays.

Formación

• Completion of a CAHEA-approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography.
• RDMS or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (including assisting radiologists in guided procedures).
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
