South Shore Health System is seeking a Unit Coordinator/Secretary for the Cardiac Pratt 5 unit in Weymouth, MA. The role coordinates nursing staff, patients, physicians and hospital departments to ensure smooth unit operations and timely patient flow.

You will perform receptionist and clerical duties, manage orders, admissions, discharges, and bed tracking, and support safety, privacy and compliance while delivering compassionate, family-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing staff, patient, physician and other department activities.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support unit functioning.
• Review orders, bed tracking and PCS systems; assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Print, review and file unit reports; complete daily chart audits and shift-to-shift reports.
• Order supplies and collaborate with Operations Supervisor on par levels and external orders.
• Promote safety, privacy and compliance and support patient/family centered care.
