Job summary

Griffin Hospital seeks a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to operate echocardiography equipment, recording detailed cardiac functions. The candidate will perform transthoracic and transesophageal studies as needed and may conduct stress echocardiography assessments.

Requirements include an RDCS from ARDMS or RCS from CCI, an accredited AS degree, and CPR certification, with about 12 months of full-time clinical cardiac ultrasound experience preferred.

MAIN FUNCTION

Under the general supervision of a Cardiologist, and according to previously defined procedures, operates an echocardiogram machine to record cardiac functions. In addition, performs transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms when needed. Performs stress echocardiography assessment when needed.

EDUCATION

Certification or A.S. degree from accredited institution, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI is required. CPR required.

EXPERIENCE

Twelve (12) months of full-time clinical cardiac ultrasound experience.
