Job summary

Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY is seeking an Echocardiograph Technician to provide high-quality cardiac ultrasound imaging in hospital and clinic settings. You will perform 2D and 3D echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and support echocardiographic procedures in the Heart and Vascular Center.

Candidates should have cardiac ultrasound experience and CPR/BLS certification; RDCS/RCS or registry-eligible status is required or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• Cardiac ultrasound experience required.
• Registered RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI), or registry-eligible, required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• New graduates with no prior cardiac ultrasound experience will also be considered.
• Candidates without credentials within one year must obtain credential after hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D and 3D echocardiograms.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Administer exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms.
• Assist with echocardiographic procedures in the Heart and Vascular Center.

Minimum Qualifications

• Cardiac ultrasound experience required.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry-eligible, required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Candidates with cardiac ultrasound experience who are not RDCS-, RCS-, or registry-eligible will be considered at a commensurate salary and must obtain the required credential within one year of hire.
• New graduates of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program with no prior cardiac ultrasound experience will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related health field.
