Job summary

ICFAI is seeking a Cardiology Technologist based in Statesville, North Carolina, responsible for performing various echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests. The position requires an accredited echocardiography program completion or significant experience in acute care settings.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with strong computer skills preferred. The position involves rotating shifts, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required.
• Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic and stress echocardiograms.
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiograms and treadmills.
• Administer cardiac stress tests and 12-lead electrocardiograms.

Description

The Cardiology Technologist performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophogeal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12‑lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holtor Monitor (application and scanning). Has full access to patient health information.

Shift

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, rotating every 4th weekend

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
