Job summary

Iredell Health System in Statesville, NC is seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to perform various echocardiograms and cardiac tests. This role involves conducting transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, along with other diagnostic tests.

The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited echocardiography program or have at least 5 years of experience in an acute care setting. Registered certification is also required, and familiarity with computer skills is preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

The Cardiology Technologist performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12‑lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holter Monitor application and scanning. Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, rotating every 4th weekend.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
