Job summary

Corewell Health in Grosse Pointe Hospital is seeking a part-time Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist. The role performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams including 2D imaging, Doppler, and m-mode, and may perform transesophageal echocardiography. You will mentor students and other ultrasonographers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and m-mode.
• Perform transesophageal, exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms.
• Mentor/preceptor for other ultrasonographers or students.
• Support the Grosse Pointe Hospital Echo department in daily operations.

Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital offers medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric and critical care services. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.

Scope to Work

Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients. Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound. May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students. This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS, ACS, or RCS credentials are required.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent. Minimal as gained at student level.
