Job summary

South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS is seeking a Unit Clerk Monitor Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and clerical support on the Third West unit. You will interpret heart rhythms (EKGs), report abnormal findings, and assist nursing staff with communication and coordination of patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, strong reading and writing skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to stay

• Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret heart rhythms (EKGs) and identify normal/abnormal rhythms.
• Notify nursing staff of rhythm changes.
• Assist nursing staff with communication and coordination of patient care.
• Post EKG strips routinely.
• Complete assigned clerical work.
• Assist with unit communication and workflow.
• Support staff during emergency situations.
• Demonstrate teamwork and willingness to assist as needed.
