Job summary

NORTH MISSISSIPPI ‑ AMG SPECIALTY HOSPITAL in Batesville, MS is seeking a Full Time Telemetry Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary for night shifts. The role interprets cardiac rhythm strips every 4 hours and reports changes to the primary nurse, maintains charts, and supports the Medical-Surgical unit with indirect patient care.

Current BLS certification is required; telemetry/EKG course preferred; experience with rhythm interpretation and monitoring equipment is desired; English communication and basic

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Telemetry/Basic EKG Monitoring Course preferred.
• Previous experience in rhythm interpretation and Telemetry Technician role preferred.
• Knowledge of monitoring equipment.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Interprets cardiac rhythm strips every 4 hours with accuracy.
• Reports rhythm changes to Primary Care Nurse.
• Prepares and maintains patient charts and reports.
• Operates monitoring system and speaker/phone systems.
• Assists in unit secretary duties and medical record documentation.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
