Job summary

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital is seeking an ED Tele Tech/Unit Clerk to monitor cardiac rhythms and support ED operations. Responsibilities include continuous rhythm monitoring, prompt reporting of changes, and accurate documentation of patient data.

Qualifications

• Telemetry technician experience in an acute care setting
• BLS preferred
• Basic dysrhythmia certification course preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient data
• Maintain visual surveillance of monitor screens and identify equipment malfunctions
• Communicate urgent information to the clinical team in a timely manner
• Assist with order transcription and message distribution between units
• Support nursing workflow by organizing the nursing station and processing physician orders
• Manage supplies and assist with census functions including admissions, discharges and transfers
