Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized experience as GS-05 or equivalent: assist nursing staff, observe patients and report changes.
• Using basic patient care equipment and maintaining supplies and organized care environment.
• Organize duties, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, nursing staff, and healthcare team.
• Assemble telemetry equipment including transmitters, central monitoring station, alarms, printers; troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Assisting nursing staff with patient care, observing patients, and promptly reporting changes or concerns.
• Using basic patient care equipment and maintaining supplies and an organized care environment.
• Organizing assigned duties, prioritizing tasks, and working with appropriate independence within the assigned role.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Compiles telemetry equipment, including transmitters, central monitoring station, running strips, validating and invalidating alarms, setting alarms, printers, troubleshooting.
