Job summary

VCU Health seeks a Cardiac Monitor Tech to provide continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms for diverse patient populations. You will prepare and maintain telemetry records and ensure a functioning telemetry system in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of related healthcare experience with arrhythmia interpretation, a high school diploma, and preferred AHA BLS HCP certification.

Qualifications

• One year nursing assistant or medical assistant experience or related healthcare education with arrhythmia interpretation.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Functions under direction of RN for interpreting, documenting and reporting cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, document and report cardiac rhythms and maintain telemetry systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot the telemetry monitoring setup and coordinate with the nursing team.
