Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 2 West Cardiac Medicine telemetry unit. This part-time night-shift role supports licensed nurses by delivering direct patient care and assisting with admissions and discharge under supervision.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and relevant CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or Navy Hospital Corps School certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must have one of the following certifications or programs listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
