Qualifications

• Telemetry/Dysrhythmia training is required.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-paced environment.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous surveillance of multiple telemetry monitors.
• Identify significant arrhythmia and signs of patient distress and escalated concerns promptly.
• Recognize and correct monitoring artifacts to ensure accurate readings.
• Report abnormal telemetry findings or changes in heart rhythm and vital signs to nursing staff and/or providers.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor on time.
• Track patient flow within the unit, including admissions and discharges in the system.
• Answer phones and patient call lights, communicating patient needs to the appropriate staff.
• Provide clerical and coordination support to maintain unit efficiency.
• Collaborate with ICU staff to support a safe, organized, and smooth operating unit.
