Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Heartsaver or Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Basic Dysrhythmia completion as established by department.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac monitoring for telemetry and hard-wire monitored patients, reporting rhythm changes and events to staff.
• Analyzes, interprets, and documents ECG rhythms; reports changes per guidelines.
• Uploads rhythms/events to EPIC using Wave Strip Export.
• Monitors pulse oximetry for assigned patients.
• Uses Epic/Telemetry Dashboard for Admissions/Discharges/Transfers accuracy.
• Assembles telemetry packs, batteries, and supplies; maintains inventory.
• Troubleshoots equipment with Biomedical Engineering and clinical staff.
• Greets and admits patients to the department.
• Performs routine clerical operations to ensure smooth unit functioning and communication.
• Maintains and organizes patient and department records for accurate documentation.
• Coordinate ongoing intra/inter-departmental communications.
• Welcomes visitors and responds to requests for information.
• Assists clinicians by providing requested patient/department information.
• Coordinates transportation of patients within the department.
