Qualifications

  • Must pass basic dysrhythmia test before orientation.
  • Annual dysrhythmia exams with at least 80% score and correct rhythms.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
  • Current Cardiac Dysrhythmia certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor telemetry and interpret rhythm strips accurately at prescribed intervals.
  • Maintain alarm settings to ensure patient safety.
  • Communicate with nursing staff throughout shifts and follow escalation algorithms.
  • Document cardiac rhythms and maintain positive working relationships with unit staff.
  • Assist with supply, inventory, and unit maintenance as needed.
