Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to continuously observe, interpret, and communicate cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include analyzing ECG rhythms, maintaining central monitor assessments, managing alarms, and assisting with video monitoring, order entry, and phones. Requires a high school diploma or GED and cardiac dysrhythmia training; CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Analyze, interpret, and record ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Maintain continuous assessment of ECG rhythm on central monitor.
• Respond to rhythm changes and report to RN as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, interpret, and record ECG rhythms.
• Maintain continuous ECG rhythm assessment on central monitor.
• Clean and maintain telemetry monitors and account for monitor on discharge.
• Demonstrate knowledge of central station and bedside monitors; maintain alarms.
• Perform other unit duties such as video monitoring, order entry, and answering phones.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
