Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician to continuously observe, interpret, and communicate cardiac rhythms for cardiology patients under the supervision of the RN. The role emphasizes accurate rhythm analysis, central monitor assessment, and timely reporting while maintaining telemetry equipment.

Required is a high school diploma or GED with basic dysrhythmia training; CPR certification is preferred. EMS or CMA credentials are a bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or completion of a dysrhythmia course on hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately analyzes, interprets and records ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Maintains continuous assessment of ECG rhythm at central monitor and during patient transport.
• Cleans and maintains telemetry monitors/holders and accounts for monitor at discharge.
• Demonstrates knowledge of central station and bedside monitors and manages alarms.
• Performs other unit duties such as video monitoring, order entry, and answering phones.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
