Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based, safe patient care and collaborate with the health care team. You will document care, administer medications with bar-scanning technology, and support patient and family education.

The ideal candidate holds a valid NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, and at least 6 months of nursing experience or is in the Nurse Residency program; BSN in progress preferred, ACLS and telemetry certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months nursing experience or active Nurse Residency.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation tech.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients for safe transition.
