Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. in Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Cardiac Tele to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work closely with nurses to implement care plans, collect data, and ensure safety and comfort for patients and families.

The role requires a high school diploma, BCLS, CPI training, and completion of an approved PCT program or equivalent. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required in a full-time day schedule.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• CLIA regulation compliance related to foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT or THR approved program; not required to maintain certification at hire.
• EMT (EMT-B) or military medical training equivalent; required at hire.
• Nursing student who completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program; required at hire.
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI training maintained annually; required.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Nursing students or EMTs may remain in role if they have demonstrated PCT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data; supports admission, transfer, discharge.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement and adheres to safety goals while advocating for patients.
