Texas Health Resources Fort Worth Telemetry unit seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to support patient care on the telemetry unit. You will assist with data collection, admissions, transfers and discharges, and document care accurately.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, PCT/Nursing program training, BCLS, CPI, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with nurses is essential.

Formación

• PCT training program or approved nursing-related program preferred.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent care.
• CPI training maintained annually and CPI skills demonstrated.
• EMT training or equivalent medical experience is acceptable.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program or a THR approved program. Not required to maintain certification when applicable after hire. Upon Hire Required Or
• EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Military experience with medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) Upon Hire Required Or
• Other Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program Upon Hire Required Or
• Other 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification. Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required.
• Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Nursing Students who do not complete course of study in nursing but having completed their Fundamentals Training and EMTs who do not formally retain their EMT status may continue in role if they have consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.
