Texas Health Dallas is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Cardiac Tele PCU. The role supports nursing staff with basic patient care and activities of daily living on a busy post-interventional unit.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BCLS, and either PCT experience or approved certification programs; EMT or nursing student status preferred. Night shifts 7 pm–7 am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year PCT experience in an acute setting preferred.
• Texas CNA or PCT Training Program required upon hire where applicable.
• EMT—Emergency Medical Technician or military medic training equivalent required upon hire.
• Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program required upon hire.
• 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active certification required upon hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Feeds, bathe, dress, groom, and move patients; may transfer or transport patients.
• Documents nursing care activities accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to tailor care to patient population and cultural needs.
