Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is recruiting a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for night shifts to support nursing staff with direct patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient comfort, and ensure safety under licensed staff supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and a preference for Nursing Assistant or PCT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certification must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Tech provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment to promote healing and support wellness.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to a diverse patient population.
• Provide key aspects of patient care including helping patients with bathing, feeding and activities of daily living.
