Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Cardiac Telemetry unit on a full-time night schedule (7p–7a). The role emphasizes direct patient care, bathing and feeding assistance, and collaboration with licensed nursing staff to ensure safe, holistic care with a focus on outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.

• Provide direct care to patients from birth through the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to promote healing and wellness.
• Assist with bathing, feeding and activities of daily living as needed.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience caring for patients in a hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certification must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.
