Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Patient Care Tech position at Highland Park Hospital supports the nursing team with essential patient care and safety, performing duties under RN/LPN direction. The role is full-time night shift with rotating weekends and includes direct patient contact, rounding, and basic procedures on a cardiac telemetry unit.

No prior experience is required, but CNA training and a current BLS card are preferred. Eligibility to work in the US is required.

Qualifications

• CNA training completion preferred
• One nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and assist visitors; perform hourly rounding.
• Learn safe patient handling to assist ambulation and transfers.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, grooming, feeding, bed making, and related tasks under RN/LPN direction.
• Aid in admission, discharge and transfers; orient patients to their room and hospital procedures.
• Document and perform basic procedures (ECGs, vitals, wound care) under supervision.
• Provide care companion/sitter duties and support unit operations (restock equipment, deliver supplies).
