Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, seeks a PRN telemetry team member to support a 24-bed unit. You will monitor multiple cardiac monitors, identify arrhythmias, correct artifacts, and communicate findings to the nursing staff.

This role emphasizes equipment testing, reporting issues, and collaboration with RNs, CNAs, and monitor techs to ensure patient safety. Prior experience in telemetry or critical care is valuable; high school diploma required and HWC certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in telemetry or critical care is a plus.
• Ability to monitor multiple cardiac monitors and respond to changes.

Responsibilities

• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
• Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Tests equipment for proper working order.
• Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
