Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Ohio is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the H81 Internal Medicine Telemetry Unit. You will support nurses by handling administrative tasks, welcome patients and families, and ensure smooth daily operations to maintain excellent patient experiences.

This role offers daytime shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., opportunities for education, committee participation, and a clear pathway on the clinical ladder.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education with customer service experience.
• Typing speed and basic computer skills required.
• Preferred college degree and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet, orient, and welcome newly admitted and transferred patients in person.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Communicate with patients, families, and health care team about care.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and resource access.
• Assemble and maintain patient records and related documents.
• Support unit clerical tasks and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
