Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Cardiac Technician to perform non-invasive cardiac tests under supervision. You will monitor heart function with EKG/telemetry equipment, calibrate devices, and support patient comfort during tests and treatments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology; basic life-threatening rhythms and related terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac tests and monitors heart functions using cardiology equipment.
• Places electrodes for EKG or telemetry monitoring and operates machines correctly.
• Checks, calibrates, and maintains cardiology equipment to ensure proper operation and accurate results.
• Provides care and counseling for cardiac patients to ensure comfort and safety during tests and treatments.
• Alerts nurses or physicians of critical values or changes in patient responses.
